Currently, there aren’t enough activities and Venues to encourage children to reach their full potential. We work to develop future leaders, one Child at a time.
Our goal is to bridge the gap between Education and Entertainment by bringing positive events to the community.
When I was in the 6th grade some BMX bike riders came to my school and talked to use about careers and Goals. They told us how to stay focused and showed us some different scenarios and how to get ahead in life. When they asked some volunteers to demonstrate a stunt, I volunteered.
We laid on the floor (4 of us) and one of the guys jumped the width of us on his Bike. As he soared across our faces and I heard the crowd yell, I said "Wow!!! I want to be a positive Entertainer and motivation speaker when I grow up". That single moment in time changed my entire life. I am focused and committed to making “that moment” for others. I have worked with kids on many different levels. From direct interaction, to one on one counseling. I have managed camps, been a site coordinator; and a Program Director of more than 30 programs at one time.
Each position allowed me to view children from a different aspect. Some even allowed me to evaluate and administer appropriate disciplinary actions when needed. Having 6 years plus experience working with kids and over eight different positions has given me confidence to create entertaining and beneficial programs that will allow the youth who encounter Empower Entertainment to experience a different style of fun.
Working for Be A Champion and All-N-One (The largest after school program in the city of Houston). I learned more of the corporate side of working with children. What Teaks are, who TEA is, why it’s important to run evaluations, the importance of attendance, and what the state regulations for childcare licensing are. This will allow me to be above board on all operations and set up. I am looking forward to working with you.
